The international media project Laboratorium (from Latin Laboratorium — "laboratory")
Сovers the achievements of university and academic science, successful scientific and technological companies, and popularises the profession of a scientist.

A wide range of topics: promising fields in medical research, new methods of treatment and diagnosis of diseases, drug development, civilian unmanned aerial vehicles, intelligent transport systems, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and technologies for sustainable agriculture. The project invites viewers to immerse themselves in the history of the discoveries, trace the stages of studying the problem at the international level, and understand the significance of Russian scientists’ invention for humanity and world science.
  • The project is being implemented during the Decade of Science and Technology (2022−2031) in accordance with the state programme "Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation".
  • The project was launched in 2024, during Russia’s BRICS Chairmanship.
  • In 2024, the project was presented at the IV Congress of Young Scientists and the IX BRICS Young Scientists Forum.
The TV BRICS International Media Network promotes the topics of technological sovereignty, science and education in the international information space as key factors in the quality of life and progress. The strong interest from BRICS+ countries in the first season of Laboratorium, which explains complex developments in accessible terms, led to the continuation of the project. In the second season, the focus has shifted to testing unique technologies in real-world conditions, and experimentally verifying their effectiveness.

Director of the Department of Thematic Media Projects at TV BRICS

"We received the first season of the Laboratorium programme with great enthusiasm. Our viewers appreciated the opportunity to explore science and technology in an engaging and accessible format, and to learn about achievements that often remain outside the media agenda. Such content not only arouses curiosity, but also provides food for thought about the role of innovation in a multipolar world. We are confident that the second season of the programme will be received with even greater interest."
